On Thursday 9th May 2025 the Lord-Lieutenant celebrated VE 80 by joining a a tour in the morning with the High Sheriff, Rev Mark Williams and the Mayor of Sandown.
Later in the afternoon she laid a wreath outside the Minster Church in Newport followed by a service within the Church.
The day finished with the lighting of the Beacons across the Island. The Lord-Lieutenant attended the Beacon lighting in Bembridge whilst Deputy Lieutenant Brigadier Carron Snagg attended a Beacon Lighting in Cowes.
